Bryan Raquin is a traditional focused blacksmith from the Auvergne region of France. He primarily forges hand laminated, water quenched san mai. This series uses a pure high carbon core steel with 1.2% Carbon laminated in XC10 mild steel. His blades are known for their beautiful rusticness that had loads of character while still being very refined tools. Our favorite part is the care taken to the steel treatment, very enjoyable to sharpen with amazing sharpness and edge retention.
